Summary:
The Key Account Specialist plays an important role in day-to-day Sales Operations, with a primary focus on leading project coordination of all projects within the Retail Sales Channel and ensuring exceptional customer satisfactionThis role will partner closely with other team members including Sales Manager/Sales Operations and across departments, with strong problem-solving abilities and a Bias for ActionThe ideal candidate has previous Retail experience, extensive customer contact, and is highly organized, with a passion for having Fanatical Focus on the customerJob
Responsibilities:
Project Management - Coordinate Customer/product-related projects for all channels in the Retail Sales segment and collaborate effectively with other departments such as category management, channel marketing, customer service, demand planning/forecasting, production, logistics, operations, finance, and ITSupport and coordinate new product launches to ensure all Customer requirements are covered for the organization as well as review cost of change to ensure budget is in placeDrive timely completion of deliverables and projectsIntegral in managing Minimized Advertised Price (MAP) for all retail customers, monitoring and resolving any issues that may ariseCoaching and training Provide training and coaching to other team membersPricing (Retail channel):
Ownership of price increase materialization and quote approvalsResponsible for pricing playbook and assisting Sales Operations with correct pricing to load into systemProvide pricing recommendations to the Category/Product ManagersLegal contracts/commercial agreements (Retail channel):
Manage Customer commercial agreements with Sales Ops Coordinator team member support:
renewal, monitoring to support compliance, ensuring discounts or others are applied accuratelySales function (Retail Channel):
Channel activity follow-up on daily sales demandMonthly Reporting for all channels:
President Narrative, top Customer sales reportsPrepare weekly Retail Monthly Projections along with VP of SalesCoordinate annual price increase actions including communication to CustomersResponsible for in-store product SKU creation for key Customers Coordinate the National Account Meetings including preparing presentations, and initial sales analysis for Sales Directors and National Account ManagersAssists VP on Retail Sales team budget and ensure tracking properlyProvide sales reports by Customer by product, gross margin, and pricing analysisEvaluate promotional effectiveness:
analysis and reportingPartner in the coordination of Product Line Reviews and presentationsAssist in all departmental functions and perform other duties as assignedJob Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent (completed)College degree in Business or a related field desired3-5 years of relevant work experience involving Retail Sales and/or extensive Customer contactPrevious experience working with Big Box retailers like Menards, Home Depot, or LowesLooking for a resourceful, responsible, organized, and detailed oriented individualExcellent communication skills and adaptability to varying personalities and stylesAbility to work cohesively as a team and independentlyAnalytical spirit and intellectual curiosityBilingual skills in French desired (Proficiency in English required) Mastery of the Office Suite, especially Excel; data entry systems awareness and familiarity Strong Point of Sale/Forecasting/GAINS experience a plusPhysical Requirements:
