Summary:
Broan-NuTone has an exciting opportunity as a Buyer II that will plan availability of raw material components to minimize inventory and maximize customer service.
Responsible for continuous improvement in procuring materials.
Works closely with Operations, Planners, Sourcing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure the correct components are available at the right time to provide customer satisfaction.

Job
Responsibilities:
Manage material supply to ensure consistent production of manufactured goods to meet customer demand.
Ensure purchase orders meet customer requirements and expectations including weekend overtime as needed.
Ensure that order policies and MRP system settings are synchronized with actual practice and consistent with the company's inventory objectives.
Ensure MRP system setting are consistent across multiple software programs including ASI, GAINS, Agile and WMS.
Follow all safety policies and be an advocate for safety.
Create new component purchase orders including expedite, defer or cancel existing purchase orders based on forecast or changes in actual demand.
Create and manage purchase orders for expense items such as tooling, etc.
Drive improvements to meet KPI's by determining root cause and counter measures.
Assist in resolving problems related to purchase orders, invoices and receiving issues.
Provide timely information to Planners, Operations and Customer Service on component availability.
Use Severe Stock Out process.
Review MCR's (Material Condition Report) and communicate with suppliers for timely replenishment of components.
Partner cross-functionally with other departments to ensure alignment of New Product Development (NPD), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), track implementation dates, PPAP status and communicate supplier requirements.
Communicate monthly forecasts to suppliers.
Actively manage and measure supplier deliveries to achieve 98% on time performance.
Escalate to Commodity Manager when supplier does not periodically perform to standards.
Other duties as assigned Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, preferably supply chain management Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Engineering.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, high energy, and capable of driving change.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Strong communication skills and ability to work with people one-on-one and in team settings.
Flexible and capable of dealing with multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Work in an office environment using a computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the plant to perform duties as needed.
